Where does the Club meet to dance?

We meet at Heinrichs Hall, Christ Lutheran Church, 829 William Hilton Pkwy., Hilton Head Island, SC 29928.

When are Dance Lessons?

Dance lessons are free to members of the Club and are held September through April on Friday nights at 5:30 PM, prior to the social dance. Click here Shag Lessons for more information.

Do I need a partner to take Dance Lessons?

The Shag Dance is a partners dance, however, a partner is not required to take dance lessons. Our instructors will make sure you have a partner for the lessons.

I am only here for a short time, do I need to join the Club to take Lessons?

Yes, you must be a member to take dance lessons.

Does the Club offer Line Dance Lessons?

Yes, line dances are taught from 5:00 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. the first Friday of most months.

When are Social Dances?

Social dances are held most Friday nights, 6:00PM to 9:00PM. 

Are guests invited to Social Dances?

Visitors are always welcome to our Social Dance.

Is there a cover charge?

There is a $8 cash per person (members and visitors) floor charge. Members are entitled to purchase entry cards for $80, giving them twelve entries for the price of ten.

Is there food and bar service?

We invite all attendees to bring their own food and beverage of choice.

How do I become a member of the Club?

You can register for membership at any Club social dance or print the
Membership Form and mail to our address: P.O. Box 6681, Hilton Head Island, SC

What is the cost of membership?

The membership year is from June 1 to May 31 and the annual dues are $40 per person. Members joining for the first time only can take advantage of our prorated fees based on the quarter in which they join – see Membership page for more details.

What is the attire for Lessons and Social Dancing?

Wear whatever makes you feel like dancing, in good taste, of course.
